WHY VISIT TOGO

Togo has several advantages up its sleeve: The smiling hospitality of the people, varied landscapes, beautiful beaches, and excellent quality/price ratio for the tourist infrastructure, all will surely tempt you.

Its capital, Lome, is a particularly lively place, the big market with a wealth of products of all kinds, the craftsman’s village where craftsmen work in front of you, and the National Museum that houses a beautiful collection of pottery and sculptures.

The Fazao-Malfakassa National Park is a beautiful place where nature reigns, a great place for a pleasant walk with the possibility of seeing some of the many species that live in the forest such as monkeys, and antelopes, elephants, and lions.

The village of Togoville is definitely worth a visit: Still influenced by voodoo, it has various places to discover; the chief’s house, the craftwork center, the church with its beautiful stained glass windows, the royal palace, and also Togo Lake with its healthy waters that will appeal to water sports fans or those who enjoy fishing.

Finally, the Tamberma valley offers the opportunity to discover the eponymous villages, whose very special buildings are made of clay, straw, and wood, built in the form of various turrets thus retaining a welcome cool temperature: The villagers live in complete symbiosis with their environment and keep the traditions alive by following the ancestral precepts, particularly respecting the specific architecture, that of the Tatas.
