Prague has many famous historical sights, but the Dancing House stands out as one of Europe’s most popular modern attractions. The Tančící dům (Dancing House) was designed by Frank O. Gehry and built in 1996 to resemble a pair of dancers. The stone tower is supposed to represent the famous dancer, Fred Astaire, and the glass tower represents his dancing partner, Ginger Rogers. The building has a hotel, gallery, and restaurant, as well as a terrace with a beautiful view of Prague, though most visitors simply come to ogle at the stunning exterior.
