According to the specialized site Skytrax, the air carrier Air Koryo of North Korea is confirmed for the fourth consecutive year as the worst airline company of 2015, in the ranking of the worst carriers in the world are not lacking some surprises.
In recent months, the site announced the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards have crowned Qatar Airways Best Airline of 2015. However, the ranking of the specialized site also has its downside, which includes the carriers with placement near the bottom of the list.
Air Koryo, the worst vector of 2015
In this case, the dubious distinction has been achieved, for the fourth year in a row, the North Korean carrier Air Koryo. The airline has in fact received only one point in a rating scale from one to five stars, because of the obsolete Soviet-made aircraft, its rudimentary seat belts, and a general level of very questionable safety.
The surprise Ryanair…
The real surprise of this unenviable ranking is rather the presence of the famous Irish low cost: Ryanair saw attributed to this year’s only two-star rating, for the lack of comfort of its airplanes and insufficient assistance that passengers receive from airline staff. An opinion, but there is to add, not shared by many other travelers who have defended the low-cost carrier and consider the good quality/price ratio offered by the company.
