It is the time of the annual ranking of the best international airports in the world, according to the specialized website Skytrax.
The prestigious Skytrax World Airport Awards 2016 were awarded on the basis of the largest global survey on the quality of the airports in the world carried out between June 2015 and February 2016, through over 13 million questionnaires, filled in by travelers from 106 different nationalities who have expressed on their degree of satisfaction with their experience at the airport and on specific services such as check-in, transfer, security, shopping, terminal arrivals, and departures.
Confirmations and new entries
The 2016 Skytrax ranking did not significantly change over the previous year with Asia and Europe dominate the rankings (the top ten is taken by 7 Asian and 3 European airports while missing the other continents). The same podium of 2015 sees the triumph of the airport Changi in Singapore, followed by Incheon – Seoul and from the airport Franz Josef Strauss of Monaco of Bavaria. Japan is rather the country that manages to place more airports (3) in the top 10.
No news, apart from the exclusion from the top 10 of Amsterdam – Schiphol (passing from the 9th to the current 13th position) and Beijing Capital Airport in Beijing (from 10th to 16th place). Enters the ranking of the best ten world airports of 2016 the Kansai International Airport in Osaka and above all the Hamad Airport Doha that since last year advance 12 positions (from the 22nd to 10th place).
