During the winter season the Grüner See, also known as Green Lake due to its crystal clear waters, measures just over a meter.

The lake is located in the Austrian town of Tragos, which attracts visitors to the beautiful park and surrounding valleys.

With the arrival of heat, however, the melting of snow and glaciers greatly increases the water level and the lake can reach a depth of 12 meters, swallowing bridges, benches, and all the surrounding vegetation.

Diving enthusiasts do not miss an opportunity to explore this decidedly unusual underwater world, even if the temperature remains between 4 and 8 degrees.

Starting from the month of July the waters begin to retreat and the park becomes visible again.
